I called Jim @ Doherty Roofing on the Saturday as I had some slates missing and water had started to soak through the ceiling. He arranged to come out on the Monday. He phoned Monday morning to confirm he was still coming out. He replaced the slates and checked the felt/timbers. He also checked the roof over. I half expected to be told that I needed loads more work on the roof as you hear some horror stories about roofers. I was pleasantly surprised when Jim said everything looked good and nothing else needed doing. He pointed out a couple of other things( the flashing round the chimney) but did say that no work was needed just something to keep an eye on. I found Jim to be very friendly and chatty but also very professional in his work. I would recommend Doherty Roofing and I expect to have them back during the summer for some other repairs I need ie the flashing round the chimney.

Can't recommend Jim and his team enough. We're onsite within a day of first contact. Excellent job cleaning/fixing my gutters and fitting a new dry verge system. The work was tidy, well finished, and clearly explained. Reliable, professional, and easy to deal with — highly recommended.

Just a note to say we were very pleased with the quality of the work performed on our roof by Jim Doherty and Christian (not sure of last name). My big issues were birds and moisture. Jim assessed the issues and kept me up to date on initially unforeseen issues, the options and the costs. He cleaned and treated the roof the old fashioned way (without a power washer), replaced some broken tiles, pointed (forgive my ignorance re the corroof withoutrect technical vocabulary) the ridge tiles, replaced the chimney flashing and repaired flaking cement there, replaced rotted battons on one corner of the roof and a put much needed weather-resistant edge on the apex of the roof. In short, it's actually dark again in the loft, dry and no birds. The roof looks brand new, ready for another 50 years. Jim and Christian performed the work professionally in an unobtrusive manner, cleaning up as they went, recognising our house as a home, not as a work site, as too often is the case when we have work done in our home. A very pleasant experience. I cannot recommend Doherty Roofing enough. Thanks again, guys!

I had a leak in my roof so I went up and had a look and there was damaged tiles so I rang Jim he arrived within the hour with two lads . They checked the roof and professionally and affordably fixed it that day for me . I can’t thank you enough Jim if that wasn’t fixed as fast as you did it, I would of lost a lot of money due to damage it would of cost , I will recommend you to anyone needed roof repairs 👍🏻

Punctual, clear communication and professional work.I contacted Jim for installing a cowl on my chimney as well as a roof inspection. They actually turned up unlike most tradesman and services nowadays that say they will but don't, so that was a good start. I needed a few roof slates replaced to storm damage and the gutters emptied.The work was completed professionally, quickly and for a fair price.They were easy to deal with, I'd recommend them and hope to do business with them again.
