Doherty roofing did excellent work on our house, replacing the old and partially rotting facia and soffit + also our gutters and downpipes. After a few months of waiting for other tradesmen, who never showed up or made us wait weeks for needlessly high quotes, I was especially impressed with Jim's excellent communication, speed and reliability! He always turned up when he said he would, explained everything really well, gave good advice and even fixed a few smaller issues he came across without any extra charge. As we were under some time pressure Jim accommodated us in getting from first contact to all done in less than a month and he and Christian did all the work in the estimated amount of time and left the place tidy at the end. Could not recommend the company more highly! Really good, reasonably priced work and a lovely person do deal with.

I can't recommend Jim and his team enough! After spotting some gutter damage on Tuesday, Jim came out the very same day to inspect it, and the repairs were finished this morning (four days later). With Autumn and Winter approaching, having such a prompt and high-quality job done gives us great peace of mind. The work looks top-notch, and they will 100% be our go-to for any future roof or gutter work.

Very happy with Jim's work today. He came even on bank holiday as he promised. He was very polite and showed me everything that they are doing and what needs to be done. They also noticed two cracked tiles which I didn’t know about and they sealed them for me as he didn’t have replacement ones at the time. Everything was left nice and clean before they left. I wasn’t sure about some stuff so i rang him back and he explained everything to me and was very nice. Very easy to deal with and fast to reply. True gentleman highly recommend the company. We hired Jim and his team to fix a roof leak near the chimney after we noticed a water stain inside the house . They arrived went up onto the roof and located the issue. We recently had a problem with our roof as a leak happened.After searching some companies to check this job we came upon Doherty Roofing and after we contacted him he was there to see the job without hesitation.He is a very polite man and is able to guide you step by step of all the work he will carry out on the job at hand .We had a a few broken ridge caps and needed some lat , felt and tiles changed and the work he carried out looks fantastic,After opening the roof James will even explain to you how all the damage was caused and then he will let you know in detail the work he will do to rectify the problem and how many days approx it would take him to do the job.I would recommend him easily to everyone if they need some work carried out .If we had any more work in the future he would be the first roofer I will contact 👍

I had my gutters cleaned and repaired by Doherty Roofing today and I couldn’t be happier with the service. They arrived on time, were professional, and explained exactly what needed to be fixed before starting. They cleaned out all the debris, repaired the problem areas, and made sure everything was flowing properly before they left.

Can’t recommend enough, very professional and accommodating. Great job on replacing my old timber faciaing and gutter's, not an easy job as the house is 120 years old and no straight lines. Even cleaned up and took away all the old stuff which is fantastic. 5 stars all the way

I called Jim @ Doherty Roofing on the Saturday as I had some slates missing and water had started to soak through the ceiling. He arranged to come out on the Monday. He phoned Monday morning to confirm he was still coming out. He replaced the slates and checked the felt/timbers. He also checked the roof over. I half expected to be told that I needed loads more work on the roof as you hear some horror stories about roofers. I was pleasantly surprised when Jim said everything looked good and nothing else needed doing. He pointed out a couple of other things( the flashing round the chimney) but did say that no work was needed just something to keep an eye on. I found Jim to be very friendly and chatty but also very professional in his work. I would recommend Doherty Roofing and I expect to have them back during the summer for some other repairs I need ie the flashing round the chimney.

Just a note to say we were very pleased with the quality of the work performed on our roof by Jim Doherty and Christian (not sure of last name). My big issues were birds and moisture. Jim assessed the issues and kept me up to date on initially unforeseen issues, the options and the costs. He cleaned and treated the roof the old fashioned way (without a power washer), replaced some broken tiles, pointed (forgive my ignorance re the corroof withoutrect technical vocabulary) the ridge tiles, replaced the chimney flashing and repaired flaking cement there, replaced rotted battons on one corner of the roof and a put much needed weather-resistant edge on the apex of the roof. In short, it's actually dark again in the loft, dry and no birds. The roof looks brand new, ready for another 50 years. Jim and Christian performed the work professionally in an unobtrusive manner, cleaning up as they went, recognising our house as a home, not as a work site, as too often is the case when we have work done in our home. A very pleasant experience. I cannot recommend Doherty Roofing enough. Thanks again, guys!

I had a leak in my roof so I went up and had a look and there was damaged tiles so I rang Jim he arrived within the hour with two lads . They checked the roof and professionally and affordably fixed it that day for me . I can’t thank you enough Jim if that wasn’t fixed as fast as you did it, I would of lost a lot of money due to damage it would of cost , I will recommend you to anyone needed roof repairs 👍🏻
